It’s been a weird as hell (that’s right, we can cuss now) offseason for the Colorado Buffaloes. Sure, there’s less medical trauma, but we still have a lot of unannounced coaching changes, a coach potentially licking someone’s face at the national championship, and no one knows where Pat Shurmur is.
However, clarity was given at the end of February. The Buffs, for the first time in Deion Sanders’ three years as head coach, have announced a full and finalized coaching staff (please don’t fact check me):

Ok, some new updates. Let’s use bullets and walk through them, shall we?
- Chris Marve officially steps up to take Robert Livingston’s DC job. He was last DC at Virginia Tech.
- Clancy Pendergast?? The rumored DC candidate to replace Jim Leavitt?? He’s back in Boulder, baby.
- Vonn Bell? The Madden legend? He’s here too to coach safeties. We love that one.
- The defensive line staff is incredibly changed. Dante Carter has a VERY light resume for his job title. That just means he hasn’t messed up yet, right?
All in all, this staff is still very unorthodox. Past Pendergast, there is not a lot of college football experience on the defensive side of the ball. Maybe that’s a good thing, but I doubt it.
