Attention Colorado Buffaloes fans, The Ralphie Report is hiring!

Following our move to becoming an independent outlet, our staff is committed to leveling up and reimagining our what content will look like going into this new chapter. We have bold plans for our future, so we are looking to add ambitious members to our team who are excited to help us see that to fruition.

First and foremost, we are looking for passionate and driven fans that eat, sleep and bleed CU athletics. At The Ralphie Report, new hires will be given the opportunity to write articles, manage social media, participate in podcasts, create video content and much more.

You’ll have a lot of freedom to create what you want at The Ralphie Report. It’s very important to us to empower our team members to create the content they are personally passionate about. We are looking for someone who is imaginative and ready to bring new ideas to the table. If you can dream any content idea up, our staff is here to help you make it a reality in whatever way we can.

Additionally, no previous experience in sports journalism is required. It’s more important to us that you’re passionate about what we do, are willing to put in the effort to see your content ideas to fruition and ready to grow and learn during your time with us.

While most of your work will be mostly remote, this position comes with the opportunity to attend CU athletics press conferences, the ability to interview select coaches and players, along with the opportunity to attend select games on media row and in the press box.

Now for the bad news: we are unable to offer any finical compensation for this position at this time, as we are still looking to secure funding and sponsorships as an independent outlet headed into the season.

With that being said, we don’t want this position to feel like work or a burden to you. Our staff is very laid back and flexible. The ultimate goal is to equip you with the tools to create the content you personally want to on your own time and terms. We want you to leverage our platform to have as much fun as you possible can and engage with the CU community in a meaningful way. Joining our team is a tremendous opportunity to get your foot in the door with an outlet that already has an established platform within the community, without being a major time commitment and less pressure than a traditional newsroom.

If you’re interested in working with us, email Ryland Scholes at ryland.c.scholes@gmail.com. Please include your name, your resume and a short paragraph about what you’re hoping to gain from this position. Following tradition, also include your favorite obscure Buff. (Mine is Jalen Gabbidon)

We are looking forward to hearing from you!
